Loose Watercolor Papers

For centuries, France's Arches mill has created some of the world's most popular artist papers for many different uses. Each paper is mouldmade of 100% cotton and bears a watermark unique to the individual grade. Arches papers offer conservation quality, symbolized by the sign of infinity in the watermark of each. High quality Arches papers offer both beauty and preservation to all those who depend upon paper to endure.

Hot Press 90lbs(185g/m2), 140lbs(300g/m2), and 300lbs(640g/m2) Available in white. A 100% cotton fiber paper, Hot Press produces a smooth finish and vivid colors.

Cold Press (90, 140, 300gsm) Available in white. A 100% cotton fiber paper, Cold Press paper has a textured finish to hold water and pigment.

Rough (90, 140, 300gsm) Available in white. With a 100% cotton fiber formula, Arches Rough papers have more tooth than cold press for better water absorbency.

Strathmore Aquarius II (80lb/170gsm) Available in white. 22x30. Cotton and synthetic fibers. Cold press. Suitable for all watercolor techniques.

Masa Paper (77gsm) Available in white. Created from sulphite pulp, masa is a very smooth and versatile paper that is strong and even. Use with sumi painting, watercolor, printmaking techniques.

Yupo Paper (75lb.) Available in white. A synthetic paper (polypropylene) created in the USA, Yupo paper is waterproof, stain resistant and extremely durable. Yupo paper will not buckle or tear and will remain flat throughout the painting process.

Hosho Paper (85gsm) Available in natural white.

Suitable for pen, ink, dry media and watercolor, Stillman & Birn sketchbooks provide both internal and surface sizing, creating exceptional wet strength. Available in 100lb. (150gsm) and  180lb. (270gsm), in spiral or hardbound.
