    Brushes

Create tiny points of lights or brush on giant swaths of vibrant pigments with a range of brushes for oil, acrylics and watercolors. An artist brush consists of three parts: the handle (usually made of wood), the ferrule (it holds the hairs onto the handle), and the hairs or bristles which can be synthetic or natural. The very tip of the hairs are called the brush's "toe".

The size of a brush is indicated by a number printed on the handle, usually starting from 00 (the smallest) and going up in size. The higher the number, the bigger or wider a brush is. There is little consistency between brush manufacturers as to what these sizes actually measure, so a number 10 in one brand can be a different size to a number 10 in another.

Escoda is truly a brush like no other. Making brushes since 1933, the Escoda family creates the finest in handmade brushes created to last a lifetime. Whether you prefer synthetic, bristle or sable, an Escoda brush will always be the Cadillac of its class. With a triple crimped ferrule and tufts set deeper than any other brush brand, Escoda brushes have a spring and resilience that is more responsive with sharp points and crisp edges.
